Resource Launch: Supporting Decision Making – A Practical Guide for Families and Supporters

Join Inclusion Ireland and the Decision Support Service for the launch of our new resource: Supporting Decision Making – A Practical Guide for Families and Supporters.

The webinar will take place on Thursday 16th July from 7.30-8.30pm.

This one hour webinar will explore the important role families and trusted supporters play in supporting people with intellectual disabilities to make their own decisions under the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act. The session will include a conversation with Áine Flynn, Director of the Decision Support Service, and Derval McDonagh, CEO of Inclusion Ireland where they will discuss what the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act means in practice and the role of families and trusted supporters. The webinar will cover: – Informal and formal decision-making supports – Common myths and misunderstandings – Practical examples and real life case studies – An introduction to Inclusion Ireland’s new resource There will also be an opportunity to submit questions in advance when registering.
