Join us for ‘A place to call home’ an Inclusion Ireland webinar that will give you practical steps and real-life stories to help you on the journey toward housing and supported living. Although Independent living is a right under Article 19 of the UNCRPD, it can be difficult to get clear information in relation to housing in Ireland, whether it is living independently, individualised budgets, supported living, or residential care. While we will continue to lobby the government for better future planning, we want to empower people to understand their rights and to help them navigate the housing system. This webinar will provide an understanding of the housing landscape and explain practical steps you can take to apply for housing. You will also hear from a person with lived experience about their journey to advocate for their own home and the supports they needed to live independently in their community.
