Launch of Equality Network in County Offaly, February 18th

Enhancing Equality Offaly is a development group of people with disabilities, community and disability organisations, including Inclusion Ireland, that has met since January 2018 to form an “Equality Network” in county Offaly. 


The launch of the Network will be on February 18th, 2019. 


Facilitated by a Community Worker funded for one day a week through Offaly Local Development Company, the group has built a name as it has led toward a launch of the Network.


In the course of the year, the group has:


  • Led the Disability Federation of Ireland initiative, “Make Way Day”, in Tullamore


  • Hosted an eight-week photography course for people with disability


  • Provided a day of Disability Awareness Training for over 45 people, led by the Disability Federation of Ireland.


The vision is build a network around equality issues for people with disability and to raise the voice of people with disability throughout Offaly.
