Inclusion Ireland held a Self-Advocates Forum on Inclusion as part of our 50th Anniversary Celebrations, on Tuesday 29th November in University College Dublin, Belfield, Dublin.
The event was hosted by Literary & Historical Society of UCD. 15 Self-Advocates spoke on the topic of 'What Inclusion Means to Me' at the Forum.
The night was a great success and all speakers made clear and effective presentations that highlighted many issues, from the right to a relationship, to health issues, to employment. All the speakers included personal stories that highlighted how that issue was important to them.
All participants attended several training days with communications specialist Ger Lally before the Forum. Ger volunteered her time to support the participants in preparing for the Forum. Ger is pictured below (left) with Inclusion Ireland Chairperson Frieda Finlay.
