Photo opportunity: internationally acclaimed Irish artist Guggi launches Inclusion Ireland’s 50th Anniversary Art competition
Inclusion Ireland is the national association for people with an intellectual disability and as part of a year of celebrations for its 50th anniversary, Inclusion Ireland is holding a national art competition for adults with an intellectual disability.
Guggi will formally lunch the competition, which will culminate in an exhibition in the Great Hall in the RDS in early November 2011.
The theme of the competition is ‘What Inclusion Means to Me’.
Founded in 1961, Inclusion Ireland is an umbrella body for over 150 organisations representing and supporting people with intellectual disabilities. The vision of Inclusion Ireland is that of people with an intellectual disability living and participating in the community with equal rights as citizens, to live the life of their choice to their fullest potential.
