Inclusion Ireland is holding a training & Information Day in its Foley St offices for people interested in Citizen Advocacy.
Citizen Advocacy is when a person from the community chooses to make a positive difference to the life of a person with a disability. A Citizen Advocate can support someone to achieve the important things in their life and safeguard their rights and entitlements. Citizen Advocates give their time freely and are unpaid.
Citizen Advocacy is about developing a long-term relationship with the person being supported.
The Inclusion Ireland Citizen Advocacy Project is in conjunction with Southside Intellectual Disability Service, Ballyboden, Dublin 16.
Please contact Sarah Lennon on 01 855 98 91 or citizen@inclusionireland.ie for an application form
